On Saturday, April 2, 2016, Nathan Olson delivered opening remarks at the 2016 Northern Virginia Minority Pre-Law Conference. The MPLC is a program of the Young Lawyers Conference and is intended to expose college students, especially minority students, to the legal field. The MPLC covers all aspects of entering the legal profession. From LSAT prep courses, mock law school classes, and a mock trial to panel discussions with the bench, bar, and law students, the MPLC provides valuable information to Virginia students considering a career in the law. The MPC is held in Hampton Roads in the fall and in Northern Virginia in the Spring. The 2016 Northern Virginia MPLC was held at the George Mason University School of Law.
Nathan, in his role at YLC President, addressed the crowd of 45 students regarding law school and the legal profession. He took questions from the audience and offered practical advice based on his experiences in choosing a law school and starting his career. Nathan’s next speaking engagement will be on June 8, when he addresses newly admitted Virginia lawyers at the Admission and Orientation Ceremony in Richmond, Virginia. Keep up the good work, Nathan!
