Kristen Kugel co-coached a trial advocacy team from George Mason University School of Law that competed at the National Trial Competition the last weekend in January. The National Trial Competition is put on by the Texas Young Lawyers Association (TYLA) and was established to promote and encourage students’ trial advocacy skills. Teams from law schools across the country compete in fourteen regional competitions, with the hopes of moving on to the National competition held in Austin, Texas. George Mason University School of Law competed in region four at the American University Washington College of Law, with other law schools from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C.
