On the evening of September 12, 2012, Cooper Ginsberg Gray, PLLC hosted a continuing legal education seminar presented by the Paralegal Association of Northern Virginia for members and invited guests. This seminar concerned the Virginia 529 College Savings Plan. General Counsel Christopher McGee, Esq., explained each of the four programs of the Virginia 529 College Savings Plan: the Virginia Prepaid Education Programs (VPEP), the Virginia Education Savings Trusts (VEST), the CollegeWealth® program and the CollegeAmerica® programs. As many of our clients have pressing concerns as to how to fund their children’s college education and the impact of the divorce on their college savings plans, this seminar was extremely informative and exceptionally well presented. Staying up to date and well informed on such matters allows us to better serve and advise our clients. We are very thankful to Christopher McGee, Kathi Ingram, the Paralegal Association of Northern Virginia and, of course, our own Joanne Randa for putting this great event together.
