On June 12th, David Ginsberg and Cooper Ginsberg Gray PLLC were honored with the Community Champion Award at the Shelter House, Inc. 2012 Annual Meeting and Volunteer Awards held at Capital One’s offices in McLean. Community Champion Awards are given to groups who have a steadfast commitment to Shelter House, as evidenced by their continued contributions and support. Shelter House operates the Artemis House, Fairfax County’s emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence. Cooper Ginsberg Gray, PLLC has raised more than $166,000 for Artemis House over the years through its Chipping in to End Domestic Violence Charity Golf Tournament. Last year’s tournament raised $23,000 for the women and children served by the Artemis House.
Congressman Gerry Connolly (VA-11) honored Shelter House award recipients with a statement in the Congressional Record. He shared some very kind words about the volunteers and community partners who support Shelter House’s many efforts.
We are honored by this recognition from Shelter House and Congressman Connolly, and we look forward to many more years of successful fundraising efforts to benefit the families served by the Artemis House.
This year, the 12th Chipping In to End Domestic Violence Charity Golf Tournament will take place on September 21st at Laurel Hill Golf Club. For more information about how you can participate, contact David Ginsberg at dginsberg@cgglawyers.com. We hope you can join us on September 21st as we continue our commitment to the Artemis House.
