On Friday, January 30th, David Ginsberg, Dan Gray, and Stephanie Smith attended the investiture ceremony for The Honorable Daniel E. Ortiz at the Fairfax County Circuit Courthouse, and the firm congratulates Judge Ortiz on his appointment to the bench. In November 2014, Judge Ortiz was selected by the Virginia General Assembly to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Charles Maxfield. Chief Judge Dennis J. Smith presided over the ceremony, with remarks during the ceremony given by The Honorable Jane Marum Roush. Delegate Scott A. Surovell presented the commission to Judge Ortiz and The Honorable M. Langhorne Keith (ret.) administered the oath of office.
