On Tuesday, March 28, 2017, David Ginsberg and Heather Cooper attended Shelter House’s Changing Lives Annual Benefit Breakfast at the Westwood Country Club in Vienna. The breakfast brings together business owners, community leaders and Fairfax County residents to raise awareness about family homelessness and domestic violence. Several speakers shared their inspiring personal stories of survival, and described how Shelter House literally provided them with “shelter” and helped them move on to a life of self-sufficiency and stability. Shelter House operates Artemis House, Fairfax County’s only 24-hour Domestic Violence Shelter, for which in excess of $350,000 has been raised through CGG’s annual Chipping in to End Domestic Violence Charity Golf Tournament.
